Boot Lane Works codename "MINTY", this model is inspired by the famous Baguley "RISHRA" currently at the Leighton Buzzard Railway, Bedfordshire.

Released with the less experienced modeller in mind and almost entirely screw & nut construction, this tiny 16mm model is the first of Boot Lane’s “Sweetie” range of smaller locomotive kits.

This 16mm scale kit is built from 3D printed filament & resin parts, and laser-cut acrylic and utilises a variation on our adaption to the Binnie Engineering wheel creating a practical locomotive driving wheel of just 20mm in diameter.

Together with printed rods, acrylic frames, etc, we are able to offer an economical, inside-framed power chassis.

The firebox has been resin printed in one piece for greater detail, as are the chimney, steam dome, sandbox, etc.

It comes complete with a 3-6volt motor, nylon worm gears, Binnie Engineering 20mm wheels on 1/8" stainless steel axles, and all necessary metal stock, nuts, screws & washers required to build the model in the photos.

Also included in the kit is a micro slide switch (with a corresponding laser cut hole in the left tank (optional)) and a selection of resin-printed detail parts.

We do recommend access to a small "bench vice" to build this kit.

Building instructions are included with the kit.

This is easy to construct and requires basic tools, glue, paint, and batteries to complete.

There is adequate room in the boiler & tanks for four “AAA” batteries or a 3.7V Lipo battery (search eBay for "Syma X5C battery") and a “Loco Remote” Mini B unit if desired.
Batteries, Loco Remote or any electrics (except micro switch) are not included in the kit.
